I replaced the battery last time. I finally tried starting the engine for the first time in 15 years, but it wouldn’t start.

２ This week’s work
My gas tank is empty, so I bought 5 liters of high-octane gasoline in a portable fuel can. I’ll ask the gas station attendant to fill my tank. I’ll need to show my ID and fill out a form with my address, name, and intended use. When transporting the fuel in the can, I always remember to check that the vent hole is open. Otherwise, the smell of gasoline will permeate the car during transport.
After adding 5 liters of gasoline, the fuel level warning light went off.
The engine wouldn’t start. It doesn’t seem to start that easily.
I showed the video to someone who knows about cars.He said that the engine is cranking, and based on the sound, it seems like there’s pressure being generated. He advised me to check the electrical and fuel systems.
I’m very grateful for his helpful advice.

15年間放置されていたWRX STIのエンジンは簡単に始動できない。
前回バッテリーを交換したのでいよいよ15年ぶりにエンジンをかけてみましたが、かかりませんでした。
１ 使った道具と費用
購入したもの
ハイオクガソリン ５L 900円

プラスドライバ、ラチェットレンチ、8ｍソケット、ペットボトル
２ 今回の作業
ガソリンが空になっているのでハイオクガソリンを携行缶で５Ｌ購入してきました。ガソリンスタンドの店員さんにお願いして入れてもらいます。身分証明書の提示や住所、氏名、用途を書類に記載します。
携行缶で運ぶ時はキャップの締め忘れは当然ですが、空気穴も忘れずに確認しましょう。移動の際、車に臭いが充満します。
５Lガソリンを入れたらとりあえずエンプティランプは消えました。
エンジンはかかりませんでした。そう簡単にはかからないようです。
車に詳しい人に動画を見てもらったらクランキングしているし、音からいて圧力もかかっているようだということで、電気系と燃料系を見てみたらというアドバイスをいただきました。
とてもありがたいアドバイスを頂けました。
3 今回までの費用と次回の作業予定
使った費用は前回までの63,000円に今回の900円合わせて約64,000円になりました。
次回は電気系のチェックしていこうと思います。
