I had left this WRX STI untouched for 14 years. During that time, it had become a home for mice. As a result, the interior of the WRX STI was quite dirty. This time, I removed the seats and carpets.
The mice had gnawed on the sponge material of the rear seats. Small pieces of debris were scattered throughout the car.
The plate near the shift lever on the WRX STI is completely rusted. There are also scattered shells from nuts that mice have eaten. I’d like to replace it if I can find the parts.
The seatbelt anchor bolts were completely rusted. I was afraid of stripping the bolts, so I decided to cut the seatbelt instead.
I’ve finished removing the seats and carpet from the WRX STI. I had already removed the sound deadening sheets when I owned the car 15 years ago.
I removed the seat and wiped the areas stained with mouse droppings with a rag.
It’s pretty clean now.

ネズミの住処となった14年間放置したWRXSTIの内装を剥がした。
僕は、このWRXSTIは14年間放置していました。その間にWRXSTIはネズミの住処になっていました。そのせいで、WRXSTIの車内はかなりの汚れていました。今回はシートとカーペットを取り外しました。
ネズミに後部座席シートのスポンジ部分を齧られて、細かいカスが車内に散らかっていました。
WRXSTIのシフトレバー付近のプレートもすっかり錆びています。ネズミが食べた木の実の殻も散らかっています。部品があれば変えたいと思っています。
シートベルトのアンカーボルトもすっかり錆びています。ボルトを舐めるのが怖かったので、いったんシートベルトを切るにしました。
WRXSTIのシートとカーペットを外し終わりました。15年前に乗っていた時にデッドニングシートを剥がしてあります。
シートを外してネズミの糞でシミになったところを雑巾で拭きました。
そこそこ綺麗になりました。
再びWRXSTIに乗れるよう少しずつ綺麗にしていきたいと思います。お読みいただきありがとうございました。
